Refugee stories: Julian

Julian is married with four lovely kids aged 3-12 years old and is originally from San Pedro Sula in Hondras.

He was running a small shop there but it became impossible to run because the gangs extorted an amount that far exceeded the amount it we possible to earn. It was common practice there for gangs to demand that the shop be used to store or sell illegal drugs or arms. He says the neighbourhood is empty because over 300 people have been murdered in that area.

He left San Pedro Sula about 3 years ago to save their lives but they began to starve so he joined the caravan in October 2018.

He has applied to work in Tijuana but would ideally like to work in the US.
