Volunteers: A Good News Story

It has been incredibly inspiring and rewarding to discover that there are so many people around the world who are willing to give up their time and money to put so much energy and love into supporting refugees.

We have seen over 500 volunteers from 34 different nations come to help in the camps where we work. Every one of them has added a little more to what started out as a threadbare shop on one camp, and turned into operations on 7 camps with 12 shops, 2 playgrounds, 2 cafeterias, 2 vans, a community kitchen, language school and outdoor gym.

Not only does this need volunteers working on our frontline but we also have a large team of people working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. We couldn’t do anything without these people, many who volunteered on a camp and then carried on giving up their time to do good work.

In a world where it is sometimes too easy to despair, this is good news! Together, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
