Welcome the latest addition to our fantastic trustee team, Alison Behrens. She will be focusing on how we can better attract and support our most important resource – volunteers. She will be taking over from tough-act-to-follow Bethan.
Alison has a strong business and marketing background. So right from our very first days she has been central to our growth and development. She has been a key advisor to the team, gathered feedback from returning volunteers and been one of our volunteer interviewing team. She has also walked many, many miles to raise funds!
So she will be strengthening our volunteer community, our marketing communications and our monitoring and evaluation programme. She’s been a friend of the RS family for a long time so asking her to take on this more formal role was an easy decision.
She replaces Bethan who really helped to take our volunteer operation to a new level. With her hard work and sound guidance we created a better feedback programme, aftercare support and our team of Ambassadors. She could also always be counted on to ask probing questions about our accountability and be a friendly, helpful support to our Chief Executive.
We are really sorry to see her go and wish her well as she retrains to be a social worker. We know she will be brilliant at that as well.
