Join us for the 2024 Lake District Ultra Challenge!
The event takes place on 8th and 9th June.
After a hugely successful event in 2023, we’re rallying a team of walkers, joggers and runners to make this year’s bigger than ever—raising essential funds to support refugees in the UK and Europe.
The distances range from 10 km to 100 km, and you can go completely at your own pace. Whether you’re a walker and new to challenge events, an experienced trekker, a marathon enthusiast upping the distance, or a seasoned ultra runner after UTMB points – there’s an option for you. The Lake District Ultra Challenge is fun, safe, and rewarding – with full support all the way.

A fun, scenic event for all abilities
The spectacular route winds through forests and nature reserves, over some tough hills, and alongside idyllic Lake Windermere. At the Kendal basecamp, you get full support & hospitality and optional camping or a hostel.
You’ll be fully supported at every step of the way: Entry includes a range of free food & drink at regular rest stops, and support from medics, marshals and massage teams. Plus, as you cross the finish line, you’ll get a glass of fizz, t-shirt and a special medal to celebrate your achievement.

We’ve been taking part in Ultra events since 2021. They’re well organised and you feel fully supported from start to finish—from the clearly market routes and ample food & drink, to the crowds cheering you over the finish line.
