Dignify 2023: Our Most Successful Event Ever!

Our fourth Dignify was our most successful fundraising event to date!

Over 250 people filled The Bedford, who once again provided the space for free and did a brilliant job of looking after the acts and welcoming all our guests.

Under the theme of ‘Bring Your Bling’, we raised a massive £73,600! This will be critical as we build a new service for asylum seekers in the UK and expect to respond to the current humanitarian crisis in Palestine.

Up-and-coming Blondie support act The Molotovs got us started with an electrifying performance.

We then saw the return of the riotously entertaining Hip Hop Bingo, and had a singalong to the brilliant Planet Abba tribute band, before dancing the night away to Afro-house beats from DJ Kayze.

Special thanks to our generous sponsors, particularly the great people at Talon Outdoor who delivered once again this year, and London Lites who also donated a huge amount of free outdoor advertising, plus everyone who donated an auction item, bid on the auction or made a pledge on the night.

The line-up was curated by talented musician Tony Moore and Nick Kidney, with production managers Richard Hunt and Kaja Riedle keeping everything running smoothly.

This was co-founder Paul Hutchings’ last Dignify as he hands the reins over Rachel Ellis. Reflecting on the last seven years, he stressed how important it is to provide support that goes beyond material essentials.

And last but not least, we say a huge thank you to the driving force behind the whole event: trustee Eve Linieres and Philippa Brown.
