Out and About

Out of the sewing room, and time for some inspiration!

Recently, the ladies from the Refumade Sewing Cooperative and our volunteers took a trip to the Cyprus Folk Art Museum. Everyone enjoyed it very much, and the ladies were very excited to recognise many items similar to ones from their homelands.

Apart from sewing and earning money, being part of the Sewing Cooperative gives members the opportunity to have new and different experiences. This outing is one example where members can do something that they normally would not get a chance to. These outings also grow the strong sense of community that is present among the members.

A big thank you to the Society of Cyprus Studies for giving us the opportunity!
