We would like to thank Amanda Solomon for being a brilliant Trustee. Amanda has been a trustee for Refugee Support Europe for 2 years, in this time she has helped us to build a strong and united volunteer community.
Whilst Amanda was our trustee she put together a fantastic Volunteer Handbook for volunteers and supports, which detailed the need for our projects, and how people can get involved and build a strong movement.
The Volunteer Handbook gives readers lots of ideas for fundraising and holding events, as well as other ways to get involved from home such as reading literature written by refugees, holding movie nights and sharing your experiences with your friends and local community.
Furthermore the Volunteer Handbook also gives readers suggestions on volunteering locally, and how taking part in projects in your local community help to build a strong solidarity movement, as well as how fundraising is integral to being able to reach as many people as we can through our Dignity Centres.
Amanda really understood Refugee Supports ethos and we thank her for her hard work and compassion.
