This June, a crew of friendly Refugee Support volunteers, staff and supporters are taking on England’s finest countryside—all for a good cause. We’re doing the Lake District Ultra Challenge: a 100km walk, jog or run that you can do completely at your own pace, over one or two days. You can also opt for 50km or 25km instead.

A fun, scenic event for all abilities
The spectacular route winds through forests and nature reserves, over some tough hills, and alongside idyllic Lake Windermere. At the Kendal basecamp, you get full support & hospitality and optional camping or a hostel.

You’ll be fully supported at every step of the way: Entry includes a range of free food & drink at regular rest stops, and support from medics, marshals and massage teams. Plus, as you cross the finish line, you’ll get a glass of fizz, t-shirt and a special medal to celebrate your achievement.

A well-organised event that we love
Some of our core team and volunteers have taken part in Ultra Challenge events in 2021 and 2022. We love these events because they’re so well organised and you feel fully supported from start to finish—from the clearly market routes to the food and drink to the crowds cheering you over the finish line.

See you at the start line!
