International Solidarity in Action: Caravan of Humanity in Cyprus

At our Cyprus Dignity Centre, a recent visit from Caravan of Humanity showed the inspiring power of international solidarity.

Caravan of Humanity is a non-profit association founded in Austria by travel photographer Pascal Violo. The organisation is dedicated to aiding refugees and displaced people across Europe and the Middle East by providing monetary donations, relief supplies and uplifting performances by professional clowns and artists.

Thanks to their incredible supporters, we received a huge lorryload of much-needed items at our Nicosia Dignity Centre. From nappies and warm blankets to back-to-school kits with backpacks and food items, these supplies have made a meaningful difference to the families we support.

Caravan of Humanity also brought along a talented team of clowns and performers, who filled the days with laughter and smiles at numerous shows across the island. Their vibrant energy delighted children and adults alike, reminding us of the importance of joy even in challenging times.

This partnership was an expiring example of what can be achieved when we work together across borders. To everyone who contributed – from the donors in Austria to the performers, volunteers and our local partner Caritas – thank you for showing what international solidarity looks like in action.
