Art Exhibition and Auction in London on 5th December

We’re delighted to share that The Artist Workspace Gallery in Soho will host The Preservation of Fire, a new exhibition by London-based artist LUCIAN, curated by Zoë Goetzmann. The show opens on Thursday 5 December with drinks from 6pm.

This special exhibition is being hosted in support of Refugee Support Europe, with half of all proceeds generously donated to help us continue providing dignity-first support to refugees and people seeking asylum.

In The Preservation of Fire, LUCIAN continues to push the boundaries of figurative painting — stripping it back to rhythm, movement, and the charged energy of the painted mark. His new works pulse with repetition and intensity, transforming familiar forms into pure visual force.

LUCIAN is a London-based artist and activist whose work has been acquired by the Victoria & Albert Museum. A former student of Camberwell College of Arts and the advertising industry, he has exhibited widely across London, including at Nomad Projects, the Design Museum, and art’otel Hoxton. His last solo show, Halfway Between An Atom & A Star, was described by Strand Magazine as “an explosive and immense love letter to the universal nature of art.”

Opening night: Thursday 5 December 2025 at 6pm
Venue: The Artist Workspace Gallery, 62 Dean Street, London W1D 4QF
