Volunteer story: Fatima (Jan 20)

And just like that it’s back to the old routine with a little jet lag, incredible memories and some amazing new friends!

Many of my friends have asked about my trip, what I did and if the bike I tried to fix, ever got fixed. LOL. Unfortunately, the bike is still in three pieces and now in the responsible hands of Paula the Dignity Centre coordinator who will make sure it gets repaired.

My time in Cyprus was brief, but in those days, I helped serve breakfast to homeless asylum seekers, assisted with three resumes, enjoyed spending time with children during kids’ hour, met some credible people, and so much more. I am always open to talking about my experience, the Refugee Support organization, or how you can volunteer!

They say a picture is worth a thought words, so here are some of mine! Enjoy
