Volunteering with us in the UK involves a mix of practical support and community engagement, including creating a welcoming, safe space, registering new members, sorting donations and stocking shelves in the Market, as well as day-to-day tasks like cleaning, tidying, and making tea or coffee, alongside Helpdesk support and signposting. This role is best suited to those who live locally to Bournemouth, are adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments, and are informed about the experiences of displaced people, particularly in the UK.

We are looking for volunteers who:

  • can commit to at least a half day per week on an ongoing basis
  • are aged 18+ and local to the area
  • are not volunteering with other organisations supporting the same members
  • and are physically fit, comfortable being on their feet and carrying items up & down stairs.
