Skytek: bringing Canadian support to Greece

We’re delighted to announce a collaboration with Toronto-based Office Solutions company Skytek. Following our recent trip to the US and Canada we met with Skytek founder Muhammad Kermalli who took a keen interest in our new Business Fund project to support refugees at Katsikas camp.

To date we have received 10 business proposals from people living on Katsikas camp that we are considering for an initial round of funding from the Business Fund. Each successful proposal will also receive ongoing business support and coaching.

We were introduced to Muhammad at the 2018 Haider Cup golfing tournament where we were the official charity partner. Following that, Skytek agreed to provide the initial funding to get this project started with a generous donation.

Muhammad tells us “We’re all part of a global community. While we seek in sharing the opportunities, we must also share in meeting challenges. The inspiration and fulfilment we get from collaborating with like minded partners in initiatives such as this one brings us all one step closer to making a positive difference globally.”

We now expect to be working closely together to support all the new businesses as they grow and develop. Skytek’s experience in nurturing and building businesses will be invaluable as we do what we can to foster more independent lives for refugees stuck in Greece.
